Pronto Italian Deli is my vision of authentic good Italian food. I was born and raised in Italy and, after a few years in the food and wine industry, I knew what I wanted to do: share the flavors I was born with.
I remember waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread, eating it right away, still hot! I want everybody to try the eggplant parmigiana I was raised with, the lasagne we only cooked for the holidays and the coffee that fills the room with its aroma.
Pronto means ready and I want to be ready to serve the beautiful community of San Clemente I learned to love together with this city, kissed by the sun, from the colorful stores on Del Mar, to the sandy beach where every sunset seems as if it was painted by the greatest artist.
We are a specialty coffee roaster in South Orange County California. We have two cafes, one in San Clemente and one in Dana Point. Bear Coast was founded by Jeff in 2014 as a coffee pop-up in the front of a wine bar. Since we’ve started at the pop-up we have served coffee to the World Surf League, we have sponsored little league teams, we developed our own customer-lead roasting program, and Jeff has even officiated a wedding of two regulars. Bear Coast is fun. And this fun is largely due to our intentionality behind what and how we serve.
I have spent the past 15+ years working in the action sports industry. I grew up surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, cycling, you name it and I tried it.
With a passion for healthy living and eating, I was Inspired by the lack of healthy food options available at Trade shows, it was time to take it to the next level!
The idea was born and we saw our goal, be at the very next trade show with an Acai Food Truck. What a brilliant idea! We spent the following year learning how to build the best Açai Bowl out there, focusing mainly on organic ingredients. In 2016 we proudly pulled up our truck and the response was overwhelming.
With such a great response, there was a ton of opportunities locally at farmers markets, races, festivals, street fairs and corporate events. Look for Aloha in Orange County, San Diego and all over Southern California. You’ll know what all the hype is… Yeeew!
Thanks for checking us out!

What makes a cafe a really good cafe? Is it a warm and inviting atmosphere? Or is it quality roasted coffee and handcrafted food? How about free Wi-Fi? A library of good magazines? Knick-knacks, merch, drive-thru convenience, and ample space to park off Main Street? What if it was all of the above?

What We Believe
Quality without compromise
We take great pride in our food. We buy quality so you get quality. It might cost a little more, bu you’re worth it. Look for center cut, hardwood smoked bacon, whole hog sausage, choice beef, homemade desserts, and center cut pork chops. You’ll notice (and love) the difference. As we are a scratch kitchen, all of our food is prepared on a line with multiple products. Please notify a manager of any food allergies, and we will do our best to accomodate you, however we cannot guarantee exclusive preparation of products.
Take good care of the customer and the people who serve them
We’re proud of our team, many who have been here over 10 years. Chase’s Diner opened in 1997. Skip’s sister Becky has been here since day one, and so has Andre. Andre is our main man, the guy who has our back. He thinks he’s family, and we’ve never told him otherwise. Our daughters Jen & Jaime, and Chane (Andre’s daughter) along with Kelsey and Sophia complete our management team. Our son Matt has grown up working here. Suzie, Taylor, Kelley, Elvia, and Martin have all been here for years. We’re even breaking the multiple generation mark with Suzie’s son Ashton choosing Chase’s for his first job!
The whole crew is here to make your visit special, and if it’s not, let us know what we can do to make it right. We want everyone to feel as happy as Frank, Greg, and Larry, our regulars who keep the counter standing! However, if you are like that weird uncle we have, we do reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
The partners at Slainte LLC got together in July of 2010 with the single mission of restoring and revitalizing Murphy’s, an iconic public house (pub) that enjoyed nearly eight decades as a staple in the downtown Rapid City bar scene. In order to ensure that Murphy’s is successful for decades to come our goal is simple; create a comfortable and inviting pub atmosphere that honors the rich history of the building, as well as provide a dynamic environment that has something for everyone; from the lawyers & doctors, to the electricians & plumbers that make the melting pot that makes Murphy’s such a success. In the days of social media, and cell phones we strive to be the place where you don’t even need to call your friends to meet up because you know they will already be there.
How did we get our name Slainte?
Slainte (pronounced zlan-jé) is commonly used as a drinking toast in Ireland, Scotland, and The Isle of Man, and is literally translated “to good health.”
What is a public house?
A Public House, or Pub as it’s more commonly referred to today, began in Ireland in order to provide an alternative for the working class to the Private Houses, a place frequented by the affluent in society that required membership. The pub atmosphere was simple—hard bench seats, and bare board walls and floors that were sometimes covered with sawdust to absorb the spitting and spillages. They provided a central point for the local community to gather and listen to Irish music, exchange stories, and indeed gossip over a cheap beer. Not only did the local pub offer ales, it also offered essentials such as food and hardware.
In more recent times, the Irish Pub has spread throughout the world, and developed into a resemblance of what we have today. Although banned in the early 19th Century by British legislation, pubs naturally began to flourish as a form of opposition. In Ireland there are over 10,500 public houses and 90 percent of all beer sold in Ireland today is sold in pubs.
